Oh, spring beauty. I’m inspired by fresh, glowy skin with shades of red, pink and peach. It’s the kind of skin that gleams in the golden hour – a natural luminosity that highlights the prettiest of pastel shades.

Want luminous skin? Brittany Sullivan, Namvo and Serena Wyllie will show you how. These incredible makeup artists will show you tips on how to look oh so radiant (like a ‘Dewy Dumpling’ according to Namvo).
If you don’t follow them on Instagram, I suggest you do so immediately. You’ll get lost in endless photographs of glowing skin, flushed cheeks, painted pink lips, and wonderfully wavy 70s hair.
My go-to glow is Marc Jacobs ‘Dew Drops’. I actually purchased this during a very wet and windy November. I was dreaming of spring and needed a bit of light to get me through those cold winter mornings. This £32 creamy gel highlighter was inspired by the designer’s love of coconut water (which I still need to try). Although, it doesn’t actually smell like coconut, it’s blended with five coconut actives and Provitamin B5.

I apply this directly onto my skin using my fingers before I put foundation on. You can use it in whatever way you like, but I find the texture of this highlighter works better on fresh and moisturised skin (pre primer). The colour is golden-peach and glimmers without being too glittery. A little bit goes a very long way, so use the tiniest amount to get that all-over oomph.
I’m calling myself a dewy dumpling now.
Oh, and it’s free from parabens, sulfates and phthalates too.
